Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 was adopted on March 24, 2016, and entered into force upon publication in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2016. However, according to Article 32 of the Law, titled "Enforcement," this Law: Articles 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 entered into force on October 7, 2016.
The law was adopted to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, particularly the right to privacy, in the processing of personal data and to regulate the obligations of natural and legal persons processing personal data and the procedures and principles they must comply with. Therefore, this text is explained to fulfill the obligation to disclose information arising from the Law, and the "Personal Data Protection and Personal Data Sharing Permission" is presented for the information and review of visitors.
Polivat acknowledges, declares, and undertakes that it will not sell, rent, or otherwise allow third parties to use your name, email address, phone number, or other personal data submitted through the forms on this site.
Processing of Your Personal Data
Processing of your personal data means any operation performed on your personal data, such as obtaining, recording, storing, preserving, changing, reorganizing, disclosing, transferring, acquiring, making available, classifying, or preventing its use, whether fully or partially by automatic means, or, provided that it is part of any data recording system, by non-automatic means.
Data Controller and Representative
In accordance with the law, your personal data may be processed by Polivat, as the data controller, within the scope described in this text. Polivat is responsible for establishing and managing the data recording system by determining the purposes and means of processing personal data recorded in the database.
Reasons for Processing Your Data
Your personal data is processed in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of the Law for the following purposes: carrying out the necessary operational activities within the company to ensure that the products and services offered by our company can be provided to you; carrying out the necessary work with the relevant business units and business partners to recommend products and services that match your consumption and purchasing motivations to our customers; ensuring the rights of natural persons by ensuring human resources management by our company; taking the necessary steps to make, implement, and execute commercial decisions by our company; ensuring the legal security of natural persons with whom we have established business relationships and our company arising from these relationships; and, but not limited to, similar purposes.

This includes ensuring the legal and commercial security of our company and those who have a business relationship with us; ensuring that our business units carry out the necessary work to ensure you benefit from the products and services offered by our company; ensuring that the products and services offered by our company are customized and recommended to you according to your preferences, usage habits, and needs; determining and implementing our company's commercial and business strategies; and ensuring the implementation of our company's human resources policies.
Method and Legal Reason for Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data is collected by our company through various channels and based on various legal reasons to conduct our commercial activities. Your personal data collected for this legal reason may also be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in this text, within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Personal Data Protection Law.
The rights of personal data owners, as listed in Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, are subject to the following procedures: If you submit your requests regarding your rights as personal data owners to our company using the methods outlined below in this Information Notice, our company will process your request free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the Personal Data Protection Board stipulates a fee, the fee specified by our company will be charged. In this context, personal data owners have the right to:
• Learn whether their personal data has been processed,
• Request information if their personal data has been processed,
• Learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is being used in accordance with its intended purpose,
• Know the third parties to whom personal data has been transferred, both domestically and internationally,
• Request correction of personal data if it is incompletely or inaccurately processed, and request notification of the action taken to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
• Request deletion or destruction of personal data if the reasons requiring processing no longer exist, despite processing in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law and other relevant laws, and request notification of the action taken to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
• Object to any detrimental consequences arising from the analysis of processed data, exclusively through automated systems,
• Request compensation for damages suffered due to data processing in violation of the Personal Data Protection Law
Pursuant to Article 13, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Data Protection Law, you may submit your request to exercise your rights specified above to our company in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. You may submit your application in writing to our company in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law. The channels and procedures for submitting your written application to our company under Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law are explained below.
To exercise your rights specified above, you may submit your request, which includes the necessary information to establish your identity and an explanation of the right you wish to exercise, as specified in Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, in person, along with documents confirming your identity, to Polivat Tekstil Sanayi ve İhracat Ltd.
